Jonathan is an interior designer and lifestyle boutique owner in the San Francisco Bay Area. Growing up in the midst of a nationally recognized, family owned interior design business/shop, his unique gifts began to emerge early on and he was designing for clients countrywide as early as his sophomore year in high school! By 21 he published his first design book, Family Spaces, Gibbs Smith Publisher, and 2 years later opened Filthy Gorgeous (his Design Boutique with sister and mentor, Tirzah) in downtown Walnut Creek, Ca. His innate knack for seamlessly fusing imaginative whimsy with nostalgic classic with innovative contemporary has set him apart in his field and made his design services a much sought after commodity.

She loves to wander flea markets, antiques festivals and kitschy corners of the Bay Area in search of undiscovered treasures, usually with her husband in tow. The ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!?!? Of the minute...
Ummm, sir? Its an old toilet sign, come on!
This Week's Are You Crazy...
While flea marketing locally, I came across this INCREDIBLE antique... gentlemen's warsh-room sign. Uh huh, that's right, a sign for where one might find the john. And yes, I found beauty even in an object as, uh, questionable as this. I mean, really, once you get past the whole toilet aspect of it, it IS super cools, right? You know it! I thought it'd be adorable just chillin on a wall in my bedroom... no? Creepy? Maybe. Anyway, my daydream of hanging it over m'desk was shattered abruptly when I inquired how much this found object was going for... $650.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No. I am NOT lying! That's what I thought too: Sir, are you outta yer mind?!?!?! Well, it WAS cute, super cute, and for $650.00 it was going to stay super cute all by itself, right where Id found it, and now, sigh, where I was going to be leaving it! Come on, all together now, sir, ARE YOU CRAZY!?!?!?!
